Dreamchaser in his [sic] blog reports the violence that has erupted in Sathyabama Deemed University on Old Mahabalipuram Road, Chennai after a day of uneasy calm. He quotes extensively from The Hindu about the violent agitation there that resumed again on Thursday.
The simmering heat in Sathyabama is poised to get big if the issues of the agitating students are not resolved immediately and may spiral out of control. The Leftist Student s’ Federation of India or SFI has - in Dreamchaser’s words-
condemned the violence on the deemed university campus, and charged the management with ‘engaging thugs to unleash violence in the hitherto peaceful demonstration of students.’
