‘Punit Sablok, I am very sorry that my beloved democratic country will never get your point.’ This is the last sentence of the post written by Beau Peep after naming a restaurant of Mumbai as Hitler’s cross.
Well, Punit Sablok certainly never had a thought that his idea will start a debate everywhere.
After coming out the reactions, the owners of the restaurants decided to change the name but now debate on Hitler has started. Here Beau Peep has his own view on Hitler and Jews’ ideology and their crimes. He does compare Nazi’s act on Jews with Japan’s killing the prisoners of awr during World war II. Just have a look on his writing -
‘The Japanese killings of prisoners during the World War II were much worse than what happened to the Jews in Nazi occupied Europe. We tend to forget the Rape of Nanking, the Ambon torture and killings of Australian troops (especially the airmen), the tens of thousands of prisoners and forced labourers who perished working in horrific sub-human conditions building the railway lines in Thailand for the Imperial Japanese Army. The movies The Bridge on the River Kwai and Blood Oath are small depictions as to what the Japs did during World War II. Then don’t forget the Korean Comfort Women and the horrors they faced every moment.’
Further, he writes that If Hitler was a monster, so Hirohito and Mao Zedong were. Who will ban all signs of the commies, The question is who will bell the cat?
