Gandhi, making of a Lord
Will Gandhi be remembered as An Indian Lord in future? Shruti has put a question on this possibility in her post Lord Gandhi in IBN Blogs. She writes as the movie Lage Raho Munnabhai has been set the tone. Most of Indians residing anywhere in the world would have been read about Gandhi’ life, works for nation and philosophy. As the character Munna easily gets Gandhi’s tips to solve any problem, people will do the same thing in future too, to get the solution of their problems. She writes as, You close your eyes, recite the hymn the Mahatma used to sing and he’ll be there to help you…to rescue you out of a sticky situation…through his ideology. Gautam Buddha, Lord Mahavir, Dayanand Saraswati and Vivekananda all were humans without any supernatural powers. All were born very much human and lived very human lives till an incident changed them one day. They came to be revered and later deified because of their austere lifestyles, because of the ideologies they practiced and preached. This post is really wonderful and must-read one. Don’t miss it.
